Ship Repairs
MES has a ship lift (floating dock) that can accommodate vessels up 900 Tons. The dock is equipped with four submersible pumps for its lifting operation, having 14M wide dock mouth and 58M long. which means the docking bay is recessed perpendicularly from the main quay wall and ships. This was so designed so that ongoing repairs on the dock shall be free form and will not be disturbed by incoming repairs/ships which will occupy the wharfs. To augment the dry-docking activities are twelve (12) mechanical dock locks (six on each side), four (4) hauling carriage, two (2) line rails and hauling winch for vessels transfer operation, especially designed to properly control the movement of vessel on the carriage while in the process of transfer to position.

Afloat and jetty repairs
M.E.S has successfully carried out major repairs and maintenance works on ships of all sizes on jetty and offshore. Our dedicated workforce comprises of qualified and experienced staff who are ready to deal with any customers requirements in afloat repairs.
Ship conversion
In MES we continued to develop and improve our work process to reach a high standard in pre- planning and preparation for any ship conversion projects. In our shipyard we are able to ensure high quality work completed within the time limit and budget.
Work shop
MES has a large covered shed with fully equipped equipment and includes fabrication, machine and electrical workshops and two overhead cranes
Fabrication section
MES is also equipped to serve prospective clients for the fabrication of various steel structures for onshore and offshore repairs. With our workshop shipyard we are capable of undertaking all steel fabrications works in the Hull repair jobs utilizing the workshop machines and equipments. Besides, MES utilizes a large erection yard for fabrication assembly work supported by Two American Manitowoc cranes which is capable of providing service from the work site to the docking area.
Electrical section
Well equipped with al equipment for all ship electrical repairs and services which includes switch, distribution boards, electrical cables (industrial and marine type).
Mechanical and machine shop section
The machine shop includes different types of lathe machines used for tail shaft repairing and provide mechanical repairs
- Removal, repair, reinstallation of rudder, propeller, shaft and stern tube bearings
- Overhauling and Alignment works for main engine and gearbox
- Repairing all types valves and seals
